Meet the Team

We have a strong Team that supports clients throughout their journey with us at The Phoenix Psychology Practice. The management fosters a team of professional, licensed specialist assessors, psychologists, coaches, and counsellors, in providing an exemplary service to all individuals and organisations that seek our expertise and support on their journey through neurodivergence.

Team Lead Psychologist

Emma Padamadan

Meet Emma, the driving force behind our team at The Phoenix Psychology Practice. Emma has 30 years of experience in the educational field, over twenty years as a specialist assessor, and a MSc in the Psychology of Education from the University of Bristol. Emma has chartered and a graduate membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS), and holds international membership of the American Psychological Society, alongside being a member of the Rorschach Society. She has been a fully licensed specialist assessor with PATOSS for nearly twenty years. Emma is involved in doctoral research in the University of Exeter.

Emma is the Team Lead Psychologist for all Associate Specialist Assessors, Neurodiversity Coaches and Counsellors linked with our organisation.

Emma is the Team Lead Psychologist at the practice and has over two decades of experience in working with neurodivergent children, young people and adults, in education and the workplace. She has supported thousands of individuals over her thirty year career in education, who have sought her experience and expertise to help them navigate their neurodivergence in education and/or the workplace.

Business Operations and CEO

Dee Padamadan

Dee Padamadan, the Business Operations and CEO of The Phoenix Psychology Practice has a wide range of experience working in business administration, spanning over thirty years of managerial experience, working for International and local government, design and supply of defence equipment, creation of industrial equipment brands such as ComLift and Hyind, and his previous educational consultancy, Target Consultancy Limited.

Chief IT Operations Manager

Lawrence Noyal

Noyal Lawrence is a seasoned IT professional with a strong background in both technology and innovation. As the Chief IT Operations Manager, he leads a team of IT specialists, ensuring the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies into the practice.

Noyal's expertise extends beyond operations; he is also the founder and creative engineer at Letkits, where he channels his passion for education and technology into developing innovative educational kits.

His previous experience as an R&D Robotic Engineer at Comlift has equipped him with a robust foundation in robotics and engineering, which he continues to apply in his current ventures.

Assessor

Lou

With over 13 years of experience in working with neurodivergent individuals, Lou has developed a keen insight into the specific needs of neurodivergent individuals.

Lou’s enthusiasm lies in helping unique children and adults remove barriers to learning, progress and succeed in life.

Lou’s dedication as a specialist teacher/assessor shines through in their work providing both direct support, as well as collaborating with other professionals, such as psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech-language specialists in Phoenix Psychology.

Assessor

Sophie

Sophie is an associate assessor and a specialist teacher in the Phoenix Psychology Practice team who is geographically based in London. While all our associate members are available for remote/online work, it is worth noting that all our associates are also available for face to face meets, when required, within their geograpical areas.

Sophie has worked with students with specific learning difficulties for many years, Sophie is committed to the identification of learning needs and the transformative effect this can have on an individual in their life. Sophie is dedicated to maintaining the guidelines of the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC).

Sophie can assess secondary age and post 16 students for dyslexia and is qualified to screen students for characteristics of ADHD and to make recommendations for educational purposes in higher education.

Counsellor

Ali

Ali Pember is a Therapeutic Coach who is passionate about working with clients as a whole person, rather than a series of labels. Her skill lies in helping people explore not only why they feel like they do, but also how to make positive changes in their lives. Ali has a background in Occupational Psychology, and she has worked as a Counsellor (BACP registered) for over 10 years. She is experienced in working with clients from neurodiverse backgrounds, including HSP, ASD and ADHD. She creates a safe and non judgemental space for whatever clients need to bring to sessions. She works in a trauma-informed way, using insights from her additional training in Mindfulness, Self Compassion, and Polyvagal theory to help clients find a greater sense of calm and grounding in their everyday lives. More recently, she qualified as a Coach (ICF accredited) and she brings a practical and forward looking approach, enabling clients to explore their current situation and develop tools and strategies to deal with any challenges.
